Celestron telescopes are best recognized by their orange optical tubes. They are great telescopes that help you find thousands of stars, planets, galaxies, and more at the touch of a button.
The NexStar SE Family of Celestron telescopes include many state-of-the-art features. For example, a fully computerized operating system, flash-upgradeable hand control, superior coatings, a unique software controlled alignment system called SkyAlign. With the NexStar SE, choose an object from the menu and the telescope will find it for you. How cool is that?! Using its patented NexStar technology, the SE scopes can find and identify nearly 40,000 objects. All you have to do is look through the eyepiece and enjoy the view. No folks, it doesn't get any easier than this.
So what do you choose to view? Mmmmm, just allow the NexStar SE to give you a guided tour of the night sky. The "Tour" feature has a customized list of the best objects in the sky to view. Just plug in your exact time and location anywhere in the world and voila!
Your NexStar SE can find objects and it can teach you about them as well. Perfect for beginners who need lots of help. The information on the most popular objects can be seen in the LCD screen on your hand control unit.
Celestron telescopes in general are built with the learner in mind but with the professional features a more experienced amateur astronomer would want to have. The unit is portable too.
It used to be hard to set up and assemble telescopes before the celestron came along with its Skyalign system. The Celestron NexStar SE telescope can now be set up in a matter of minutes with no tools required.

You can also update your telescope's software via the Internet. How much easier can it get? If you're looking for a great scope for young astronomers, the Celestron telescopes will fill the need quite nicely.
