The Nikon D60 Camera

For years Nikon has worked on building all sorts of impressive cameras. The tradition of quality Nikon cameras continues today through its digital SLR cameras. The Nikon D60 camera is one of the best cameras in this class.

For starters, the picture quality that is used from the D60 is impressive. The camera creates images of 10.2 megapixels in quality. Plus, the images that are taken will be still without any blurring thanks to its AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm lens. It is a Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization Lens, meaning that it works to help with creating still images even in hand held mode where the camera may be shakier than usual.

The reaction time of the camera is especially fast. The D60 is well known for its quick setup and its ability to respond instantly to an order for the camera to take a picture. It works to get things to work properly so that no moments can be missed. The camera can also shoot quickly. It can shoot up to three pictures in one second. In fact, the camera can take pictures and make a sequence of them as a stop motion video.

Also, the camera is very easy to handle and can be taken most anywhere. The camera is the smallest of all of the SLR cameras in that it weighs just about sixteen ounces. It is a very convenient feature.

The dust reduction system for the camera is among the best features of Nikon cameras. The Active Dust Reduction System works to automatically take care of any dust that gets into the lens. It also uses controls on the airflow that it receives so that it will reduce the level of dust that gets into the lens or sensor.

Another quality feature is the 3D Color Matrix Metering II system. It measures brightness, color and other features of the picture that has been taken. It then investigates focus areas and distances between items to help with adjusting focus and lighting automatically. As a result the camera will be able to easily reduce the guesswork of changing configurations.

The last feature of this camera is that it has a long lasting battery. The EN-EL9 battery used is rechargeable and allows for the user to be able to take up to five hundred pictures in one charging. Since the battery is included with the camera there is no need to worry about buying separate batteries for the camera.

The Nikon D60 camera is one of the best cameras to use for taking pictures. The D60 works to create quality images and can be easy to handle. It also sets itself up quickly and can automatically adjust pictures so that they look their best.
