If You Don't Have Health Insurance

There are many reasons people don't have health insurance. Finances of course, is one of them but there are also reasons to carry health insurance that don't apply to emergency situations.

Your family is important, and getting a child to the doctor when they're sick or in an emergency situation is just a matter of getting in the car and going, you worry about the bills later. But health insurance is not just for when a child is sick, it's making sure that their growing properly, that their bodies are maturing in the right way, and getting those tests done to make sure that future illness is not a problem. Childhood diabetes is a serious problem as is low blood sugar, and many other childhood illnesses that need to be tested for when they're young. Without health coverage these children do not get the test to determine if they have a problem before it advances into a serious medical condition.

This can be the same for the provider of the family. An adult who is working full time without health insurance is in danger of becoming ill, losing their job, and no longer being able to support their family. Many health problems can be discovered through regular testing and checkups. An adult who is providing for their family is in dire need of health insurance coverage in order to make sure they can continue to support their family. Many tests discover deadly illnesses before they become deadly and can be treated, if they manifest themselves fully, they're often not treatable or take months to recover from.

There are many ways that you can be covered for medical costs without health insurance and it's important that you understand this. If you're unable to afford health insurance for your family you need to stop by your Department of Social and Health Welfare, you may qualify for free health insurance. Remember, many community hospitals, doctors' offices, and even dental and eye clinics have charity funds available. If you can not afford a visit to the doctor, call the office and find out if they have charity funds, or if you qualify for low-cost or no-cost medical insurance through their charity programs.

Health insurance is vital for everyone, regular testing, regular checkups, and catching a disease before it manifests itself into a deadly illness is vital. Whether it's a family member or you are the provider try to find health insurance through one of the many outlets for low-cost medical insurance.

There are many different health plans that can be available for those people who have trouble affording regular health insurance. Check with your Department of welfare, talk to your doctor, and check with charity organizations in your community.
