Generators

power supplies

Honda Generators are small, use little fuel and have the added bonus of providing smooth clean power. They are commonly used in homes, hotels, large to medium construction sites, in apartments and for emergency power needs. The name 'Honda' often conjures up the image of reliable and popular automobiles. Few know however, that Honda generators are widely respected and sought after. These small gasoline power plants are now accepted as being the commercial and private consumer choice for low fuel consumption, clean and reasonably priced power. The fact that they also come in conveneient portable packages also makes them attractive. They are also widely used in emergency power supplies to run small appliances like refrigerators, TVs, and cooling fans. You can find them in the garages of private homes and in the construction industry and even at faraway location shoots with photographers.

They can be found easily at most hardware supply rental outlets. One of the benefits of having a Honda generator is that they run quiet and do not generally disturb neighbors or campers. Its ability to run quietly is because of Honda’s advanced inverter technology.

Honda generators can run long hours and are easy to adjust. Just set the meter to Hz or freq and adjust the engine governor to 60 cycles. They are always backed by a comprehensive warranty when bought new and they have one of the best dealer and service networks in the United States. If there are any shortcomings of the Honda power plants, it is that their generators come in limited sizes and power output ranges; unlike for example, Onan or Guardian which have generators for almost any purpose from standby to marine to RV. Hondas are also a little more expensive than some other generator brands.

Honda generators are now considered one of the better generators on the market. They put a lot of effort into staying at the forefront of technology and innovation to produce generators that meet the demands of their customers. They are more expensive, but as one customer puts it "in 5 years of ownership, I've never done any work on it, and it starts every time." This cannot be said of many other brands. Because it's on the edge wattage-wise, you can hear the generator "power up" after each shot at a full 500 watt setting, with less effort at lower wattage.

If you're planning to include a power plant package into for example, a wilderness or mountain cabin somewhere where standard power is not available, then you might consider a 12V power package like the following:

Try a 210-amphour diesel starter battery and an AC/DC Honda generator. This system works reliably and is a fairly low-cost option for modest power consumption needs.

Generators of Three Gorges Dam reach design capacity of 18.2 mln kilowatt

The photo taken on July 21, 2010 shows that 26 hydro generators of the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang, central China's Hubei Province, generate eletric power at the rate of their design load due to the high water level of the dam's reservoir which is being raised by the continuous rains and floods coming from the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
