Tire rims are more important than you think, while they may be attractive or unattractive, it can be very dangerous if they are not installed correctly on your vehicle or do not fit the tires.

When you have the tires installed on your rims, you need to make sure it\'s done by a professional that has a reputation for doing the job right. If a tire is installed incorrectly there is a big chance of the tire becoming separated from the rim during travel causing major handling problems with your vehicle. If it does happen, it\'s vital to pull over to a safe place immediately and change the tire to the spare. If you do not pull over immediately irreparable damage to your tire rim can occur forcing you to not only purchase a new tire, but also a new tire rim.

The same can be said for having the tire and rim installed correctly on your vehicle. If it is not tightened correctly the wobble from the loose lug nuts will slowly but surely cause the lug nuts to be severed, causing the tire and rim to separate from your vehicle. This will not only cause you problems but a loose tire and rim going 60 mph down the road can cause accidents with other travelers. And of course, because of the lug nut wobble it will also ruin the wheel rim because of wearing on the lug nut holes, so make sure your professional tire installer does the job right.

If for some reason you have to purchase one new tire rim, you may try calling around the different tire stores, and recycle yards to find a tire rim that matches the tire rims you have that is used. Often, recycle yards will pull the rims off of the salvaged vehicle and sell them at a huge discount so you may be able to find a matching rim at a recycle yard or salvage yard for quite a bit less than your tire store.

As you can see, your tire rims are much more important than adding style to your vehicle. Not only must they look good, but also they must be installed correctly as severe damage and tragic accidents can happen if the tire rim comes off your vehicle.

You can shop in many places for a replacement tire rim or for a whole set of new tire rims. Don\'t forget, that you can purchase a single tire rim or a complete set of used tire rims for much less than the total cost of new. Just make sure you have your tire professional assure you that the used tire rims are in great shape and will not cause you a problem when going down the road.
