Canon Cameras: the Powershot Series
The first digital camera came in the early 90's when Kodak released their very first. The sensor technology used was Charge Coupled Device (CCD) or Complementary Metal Oxide (CMOS). The concept is for these sensors to generate the electrical stimulus when exposed to the light. The stimulus accounts for the pixel, which refers to the smallest part or component of an image. The pixels are digitalized for storage in the computer's memory or in CDs. A digital image is always easier to save, transfer, or print. In digital cameras, the higher the pixel count, the higher the quality of the photo. Canon cameras have been one of the leaders in this quality battle up until today.
As a pioneer in the camera manufacturing industry, Camera has a roster or digital cameras that rank as bestsellers in their categories worldwide. The Powershot is Canon's line of digital cameras that entered the market in 1995, targeting semi-professional users.
This series of compact cameras include 60 plus models: A series, G series, S series, and Pro series. Canon cameras' Powershot series ranges from simple point and shoot to larger, full-featured (except SLR) and much more expensive ones.
